You have (not) received the information mail from us and are looking for general information about the orientation phase (O-Phase)?

Then here is a summary of the most important information for you:

The "O-Phase" 2023

The O-Phase is a two-week series of events in which we introduce you to Karlsruhe, KIT and your study programs, and help you to find new friends and colleagues.

It starts on 09.10.2023 (Monday) in the morning in Karlsruhe at KIT. The last day of the O-Phase is 24.10.2023 (Tuesdays).
All of the events are currently planned to be in person.

For participation you tend to always need an ID card and your KIT card, or alternatively your ID card and an enrollment certificate.

Registration for the O-Phase itself is not necessary. Individual events require registration. Once the registration forms are available, you will find the links to them in the calendar.

Any further Questions? Just contact the oorgaatfs-fmc [punkt] kit [punkt] edu (O-Phasen-Orga).

The math pre-course

A math pre-course is offered by the KIT Faculty of Mathematics during the O-Phase.
This serves to bring all first-year students up to speed and to give you an insight into the form of lectures.

You can find all information here: https://www.math.kit.edu/ianmip/lehre/vorkurs2022w/

E-mail distribution list and start of lectures

We as the student council offer an e-mail distribution list for each class. Only information about your studies, deadlines, excursions and general information about the student council will be sent via the distribution list. If you don't want to miss anything during your studies, you should register here.

Register at: https://www.fs-fmc.kit.edu/semesterverteiler

You can also unsubscribe from this mailing list if you are no longer interested in the information.

Lectures officially begin for MatWerk and BIW majors on 10/24/2023 (Wednesday). MACH, MIT and CIW have already on 24.10.2023 (Tuesday) the first lecture Machine Design Theory and MIT additionally Digital Technology. This is different from most other courses at KIT. However, you will not miss any information beforehand, everything relevant to the courses will be explained to you in more detail by your lecturers from Wednesday onwards in the first lectures.

How do you get all the important information?

We will send you further information about the study program by e-mail (so sign up for the mailing list) and we will always tell you at the beginning of the math pre-course and put it on our website. Alternatively, you will receive the basic information via the email address you used to enroll.

If you still have questions, you can always reach us via our contact form.

Have fun in the O-Phase!
