The programs that are needed for the university do not place particularly high demands on your computer. The CAD software for MKL also does not require a lot of resources for use in the scope of the course. If you do need a little more power, you can also work on the institute's workstations.
For mechanical engineering and mechatronics, there are also programs that only run on Windows. However, if you have a MAC or no laptop at all, you can also work on pool computers or via a virtual machine.
