How often can I repeat an exam?
You may repeat an examination once in writing. If you fail this as well, you will have to retake an oral exam (legally speaking, a written retake and an oral retake are one exam).
If this is also not enough, you have the option of applying for a second resit (formerly also known as a hardship application or rector's application). This gives you the opportunity to take ONE more exam in the relevant subject (i.e. written and oral).
You cannot submit a second repeat application for orientation examinations!
